A message from our Campaign Cabinet Chair
As long-time supporters of RVH, I could not be more honoured to be the chair of what will be the largest capital campaign of its kind in Simcoe Muskoka.
This campaign, which launched in October 2022, is a rallying cry for our community to support the planned expansion of this critical health centre. RVH is bursting at the seams. Prior to the pandemic, the hospital was at 115 percent capacity on most days. Our surgery wait times are close to four months. And the situation is only exacerbated by our rapidly growing population.
RVH provides specialized care for the sickest people in our region. And growing our capacity to provide that care, as well as addressing the short-term issues, requires us all to come together, to dig deep, and to support RVH with our time, expertise and generosity.
I am tremendously proud to be joined in leading this campaign by the following group of talented, committed and enthusiastic volunteers on our Campaign Cabinet. We extend our heartfelt thanks to each one of them, and to each of you, who we know will also play a critical role in the success of the campaign.
