The Life-Sustaining Impact of Your Philanthropy
RVH’s regional kidney program is busy – there’s no two ways about it. Close to 190 people rely on regular dialysis at RVH to manage their kidney health. For these patients, spending three to five hours in a dialysis chair, multiple times a week is their norm.
Your donations are improving the lives of these patients – fuelling an expansion of RVH’s community dialysis clinic, bringing in more life-sustaining hemodialysis machines, and purchasing new dialysis chairs that prioritize comfort and functionality. Afterall, a good dialysis chair isn’t just about comfort—it directly impacts patient health, treatment success, and quality of life.
Just ask Ryan. Passing hours in a hospital chair, several times a week, wasn’t how Ryan thought he’d be spending his time, but he’s chosen to make the most of his situation.
“I can tell the difference in how I feel after being on dialysis,” Ryan says. “I feel more like myself.”

Rotaract Springs into Action
The next generation of philanthropy is here—and they’re making a powerful impact.
Rotaract, a passionate group of young professionals aged 18-35, is rallying around our community to protect our way of life. In 2023, they pledged $50,000 over five years to the Keep Life Wild campaign—helping ensure people get the care they need close to home.
Now, just two years in, they’ve already raised $44,000—a testament to their drive and belief in a healthier future for Simcoe Muskoka.
These young philanthropists aren’t waiting for change—they’re making it happen. Through creative fundraising, community spirit, and sheer determination, they’re proving that the next generation is ready to step up for healthcare.
One way they’re making an impact? Their annual St. Paddy’s Day Bash on March 14—a celebration with purpose, bringing people together to support advanced patient care at RVH.
Rotaract’s commitment is more than a fundraising goal—it’s a promise to their community. And they’re just getting started.
