They’ve faced the edge before. Now they’re taking the leap—for youth mental health.
On September 11, the WTF Ladies will bungee jump 200 feet in support of youth mental health services at RVH.
The WTF Ladies—a name coined by Hannah’s (one of the members’) husband when he asked the expletive-laden question, just before they were about to embark on one of their adventures —are a fearless group of friends and thrill-seekers who turn high-adrenaline challenges into powerful fundraising opportunities for local healthcare.
This fall, they’ll be jumping from 200 feet at Great Canadian Bungee to raise funds for RVH’s Simcoe Muskoka Regional Child and Youth Mental Health Program—and to honour World Mental Health Day.
Because for too many young people, asking for help can feel like the scariest leap of all.

Why They’re Jumping
The WTF Ladies are jumping to raise awareness and funds for the growing number of children and teens facing mental health challenges across Simcoe Muskoka.
The Simcoe Muskoka Regional Child and Youth Mental Health Program, based at RVH in Barrie, provides urgent and ongoing mental health services to young people between the ages of 7 and 24. These services include:
- Crisis intervention and inpatient care
- One-on-one and group therapy
- Psychiatric assessments
- School and family support
- Emergency services and transitional programs
Your support helps ensure these young people can access expert care when and where they need it most.
In Memory of Nyah-Lea
For event organizer Stephanie Davenport, this leap is deeply personal.
“In 2020, our 19-year-old daughter, Nyah-Lea, died by suicide. She battled her mental health for years. She fought to live. We advocated. We searched for help. We loved her fiercely. But the system is stretched, and the stigma is still so strong. If sharing her story can help even one family, or open the door to better care for another young person, then this leap is worth it.”
– Stephanie Davenport
Stephanie and the WTF Ladies are leaping in Nyah-Lea’s honour—and for every young person still in the fight.
Help Them Make an Impact
Every donation—no matter the amount—makes a difference.
Your support will help fund critical services, expand access to care, and ensure that no young person faces a mental health crisis alone.
