Your Impact: Turning Emergencies Into Recoveries
Summer invites us to live a little wilder — to explore, take risks, and make memories. But with more adventure comes more chance of injury or emergency.
That’s why RVH is always ready — not just for our community, but for the entire region. As a Level 3 trauma centre, we play a vital role in responding to the most serious cases across Simcoe Muskoka. And through our new partnership with the University of Toronto, we’re also training the next generation of emergency physicians — equipping them to deliver life-saving care, right here at home.
Thanks to your support, RVH continues to lead with confidence, compassion, and expertise — whenever and wherever we’re needed most.
Stay healthy. Stay wild.

Big news: RVH partners with U of T to train more doctors.
Together with the University of Toronto, RVH has launched two new emergency medicine training programs — right here in Simcoe Muskoka.
That means more physicians trained locally, and more staying to practice in our communities. It means faster access, stronger care, and a smarter, more sustainable healthcare system.
This is a bold step forward — and it’s only possible because of support from our community.

From collision to comeback: Alanna’s wild spirit never wavered
Alanna Newlove is fearless. At just six years old, she was already chasing every adventure, from hockey to wakeboarding. But a serious accident one night changed everything.
What happened next is a powerful reminder of why access to expert care, close to home, matters so much. From imaging to stitches to emotional support, the RVH team sprang into action, helping Alanna get back to the wild adventures she loves.
This is the kind of care your support makes possible

Because of donor support, research happens here.
RVH is helping shape the future of cancer care. We were the top enrolling site in Canada for a national clinical trial testing a new hormone therapy for advanced breast cancer. That means patients in our region are among the first to access tomorrow’s treatments today.
